She completed her schooling in Kannur and then pursued a degree in fashion designing at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Bengaluru.
Nikhila made her acting debut in the Malayalam film industry with the film “Bhagyadevatha” in 2009, in which she played a small role. However, her breakthrough came with the 2016 Malayalam film “Love 24×7”, in which she played the female lead. She has also appeared in several other Malayalam films such as “Medulla Oblongata”, “Aravindante Athidhikal”, and “Oru Yamandan Premakadha”.
Nikhila made her Tamil film debut with the 2017 film “Kidaari” and has since acted in several other Tamil films including “Vetrivel”, “Panjumittai”, and “Thambi”. She has also acted in a few Telugu films such as “Mudra” and “Suryakantham”.
